Any Outdoor Runners?

Post by Miley Cyrus »

Warm but not overbearingly warm day last Saturday with the sun shining and nary a breeze. Binged on these chocolate croissant things before heading out to Eden Prairie to do a few laps around Bryant Lake Park before heading back east to do a few laps around the body of water known as Lake Calhoun. Went to the nearby Cub's at 11 PM to get a 1.25L of Mountain Dew to power through the last 15 miles. Relaxed on the porch to give the ol feet a rest while watching the sky brighten up before going to sleep around 6.

Just like to do a 62 mile scamper every other weekend and supplement it with strength training and elliptical work during the week. Saves some wear and tear on the feet. Also like to walk at least a couple miles a day.

Got back from the Twins game 'round 11. Proceeded to house a 1.5 quart container of caramel M&M ice cream and some chocolate filled croissants whereafter I left around 12:30 in the AM. Nice and cool in the 60s so didn't even have to go topless. Added bonus of overnight running is little chance of getting caught pissing outside. Racked up 40 miles traversing the likes of Eden Prairie Road and Pioneer Trail among others before the rain came and did its thing. Headed to the gym to add an extra 22 miles.

I've never tried overnight running! Sounds like it could be peaceful. I do get out there as early as 3:30-4am sometimes and love the peace plus, like you said, anything around you is your urinal.

Build character. Anything longer than 20 miles in that and I'd be chowing down on electrolyte tabs.

Keith Marler ought to get into outdoor running, or maybe just walking for Keith. He's going to end up in a mobility scooter one day if he doesn't change course.

Nice cool day. Left home 'round 11 AM and scampered 18 miles to grab 2 bottles of Powerade (Island Burst and Grape for those keeping score) at the Eagan Hyee. Headed northwest to Uptown Cub's to get 2 more bottles of the 'ade (Blue Razz and Strawberry Lemonade this time). Ate my first solid food at mile 35ish and headed back home to make a pit stop to house some granola bars and grab a couple bottles of Orange Sunkist before heading back out to traverse the mearby streets before hitting 62.1 miles. 5,700 calories burned.

Got back 'round 3:30 and sat on the porch for a good half hour to cool off. Hard pass on the sardines - I turn into sellingguy when I don't get enough carbs. Other runners swear by keto tho.

Good grief Miley, you run a 100k every weekend?! That's pretty hardcore!

I'm heading out now for a 12 miler around the city lakes. Should be perfect outdoor running this morning.

Didn't realize we've got 94% humidity out there! I took stock at ~8 miles and realized I was so soaked in sweat that jumping into Cedar Lake would've actually dried me off a bit!

I’m not sure what I do can really be classified as “running” anymore

Getting up in 7 hours to sugar binge before hitting the pavement. Hopefully I can tolerate the heat well enough to the point where I won't succumb to the treadmill. Calhouska and Nokomis finna be lit.
