Politics is being reopened.
Take this as another opportunity, not a guarantee. If the same nonsense starts again, it will be closed again.
A few things need to be understood:
Debate politics all you want. That is the purpose of the forum.
Personal attacks, harassment, hateful content, thread derailment, and constant moderation drama will not be tolerated.
If you disagree with someone, argue the point. Do not obsess over the poster.
If you have an issue with moderation, use PM. Do not turn threads into discussions about bans, reports, or moderators.
If a post clearly breaks the rules, use the report function. That is what it is there for.
Reports should be for actual rule violations, not because someone disagrees with your politics or annoyed you.
Repeated abuse of threads, repeated baiting, or repeated inability to stay within boundaries will lead to suspensions or closure of the forum again.
Some of you keep acting like rules are optional. They are not. This site has obligations to remain online, and I am not risking the entire board so a few people can act out in this forum.
If you want the section to remain open, police yourselves better, post like adults, and use the report function when there is a real issue.
The choice is pretty simple: have a political forum with boundaries, or have no political forum at all.
