I'd be intrested to see what shape a Wiggins deal comes in. This might be Wiggins last day as a Wolf.

The Wolves will give him the max.The Replacements wrote: ↑Sat Jun 29, 2019 10:23 am Not sure anyone really knows how Russell plays out right now. I think a few teams will pay much more than $20 million for him.

Well now that destroys a lot of credibility for that account. Odd that they have legitimate reporters responding and even SO_MONEY kind of vouched for them.
Edit: looks like he took it off Instagram though

True. If I could set fire to mass social media as a concept...I would.

This feels like it's going down. The Wolves would not waste his time with a meeting unless some moves to clear cap space were in the works/done.

I think we assume it's Wiggins. If Russell comes aboard, that's probably goodbye Tyus.Hoop Dreams wrote: ↑Sat Jun 29, 2019 1:30 pm This feels like it's going down. The Wolves would not waste his time with a meeting unless some moves to clear cap space were in the works/done.

They can wait till the end and go over the cap to sign Jones, unless somebody hits him with a crazy high offer sheet. He's probably an easy guy to fit in after the dust settles.

Re: Wolves in on D'Angelo Russell?
So if we subtract Wiggins and add Russell with no other losses other than maybe some combo of Teague, Dieng, 2nd round picks, and/or heavily protected 1st round picks, would we all take that?
I’m not 100% sold on Russell, but I’d be okay with that.
We’d be good to go if we could bring back Jones and maybe Gibson at a discount, if he’d stay. I liked what Rose brought, but I think both sides are better off parting ways.
Russell
Okogie
Culver
Covington
Towns
Bench: Jones/KBD/Gibson?/Dieng?/Nowell

I think Taj can still go.get paid. Dont think Rosas really has interest in bringing his old school solid as hell PF game back. Just a vibe. He was an awesome Wolf. He will be remembered extremely fondly.

More or less the account is just aggregating things. The person running it likely has no real insights, the second they claim to I would be skeptical.flexbuffchest wrote: ↑Sat Jun 29, 2019 12:57 pmWell now that destroys a lot of credibility for that account. I agree, but maybe. If he wants to stay, maybe it could happen.

That be cool. We don't make the playoffs without Taj motherfucking Gibson in 2018. Locking down Jokic!Beef Supreme wrote: ↑Sat Jun 29, 2019 1:43 pmI agree, but maybe. If he wants to stay, maybe it could happen.

Agreed. I said this elsewhere, but in a vacuum, I wouldn’t like it.
But max Russell is probably an upgrade from max Wiggins, so do it.

Jokic 0/5 and 1 or 2 TO when Taj switched over to him in the 4th and OT. Awesome.Beef Supreme wrote: ↑Sat Jun 29, 2019 2:04 pmTop-5 play in franchise history.YBBR wrote: ↑Sat Jun 29, 2019 1:49 pmThat be cool. Re: Wolves in on D'Angelo Russell?
I believe max to D'Angelo Russell will be another bad contract for the Wolves, but probably better than sitting status quo. I thought we would see a better Wiggins this season because the 2 Butler seasons were a disaster for him. He looked like he had so much potential but progressed worse once Butler arrived. Hopefully D'Angelo's best years are ahead of him and he's a great fit on the Wolves. Its time to turn in another direction.Beef Supreme wrote: ↑Sat Jun 29, 2019 2:06 pmAgreed. Re: Wolves in on D'Angelo Russell?
The season Russell just had for Brooklyn was significantly better from an efficiency and advanced metrics standpoint than any season Wiggins has ever had. Look at Box plus minus, VORP, was/48, PER, etcwitljon wrote: ↑Sat Jun 29, 2019 5:00 pmI believe max to D'Angelo Russell will be another bad contract for the Wolves, but probably better than sitting status quo. Sounds like they are going to renounce Russell right away after that. So, no sign and trade. Hopefully they can free up the cap to go get him.
Let's get Tropical
