I can just see Klay and Steph getting all inside Wigs jock and actually making him work. This forum would be fabulous.HeHateMe wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2019 9:43 amWiggins makes the same money as Russell next year now. Not sure what type of deal you're laying out..Oriole81 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2019 9:39 amcouldn't we send Wiggins + the expirings for Russell? Before anyone says "why would GS want Russell" I will pre-emptively state here "why would they want Russell in the first place?" It's clear nobody knows at this point what GS is thinking or what they value, so who knows if they could be interested in Wiggins.
could it work though?

That tweet was posted at 6pm Eastern on Sunday when free agency began and teams were allowed to start talking to players.irishman89 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2019 10:12 amMe too because that's a Saturday and the league isn't even open for business in the first place.

Re: Wolves in on D'Angelo Russell?
I think Russell was going to come here but changed his mind when the Warriors became an option because he didn't want to wait for the Wolves to dump contracts. Woj/Russillo discussed on a recent woj pod and Woj says MN was focused on sign and trade. Sign and trade was pie in the sky once Durant picked Brooklyn. Doogie says he talked to people on teams that needed a point guard and there's zero evidence Jeff Teague was ever shopped. Jon K continues to talk about Wiggins and the relationship needing some work now but I'm guessing the Wolves were unable to unload Wiggins on anyone without surrendering 2-3 picks which they didn't want to do. MN was floating information out there they could move Wiggins which sealed a deal with Russell right at the beginning but they were going to need him to be patient as they found a deal for Wiggins. Something with this story has never added up given the Wolves were with Russell and his agent (who is also KAT's agent) and then the Golden State thing just pops up and it's over? I just think end of the day the Wolves could have had him but it was Wiggins' and his contract that they were focused on moving and Russell switched directions once he found out Golden State was willing to take him via S & T.

I see. So Wiggins is now costing us nice additions to our roster in addition to his shitty game.HeHateMe wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2019 2:08 pm I think Russell was going to come here but changed his mind when the Warriors became an option because he didn't want to wait for the Wolves to dump contracts. Re: Wolves in on D'Angelo Russell?
Could Wolves be in on 3 way trade that involves Culver and cannot say anything because Culver is not technically a Wolve? Culver and Wiggins to Golden St and Russell comes here.
Has Russell said anything on social media about joining Warriors? It seems going to Warriors would be a big deal and you would want to comment on it.

Re: Wolves in on D'Angelo Russell?
I suppose anything is possible but there is no chance, ever, Golden State would take Wiggins on his current salary. They're in the repeater tax and the advanced stat dudes tell us he's a net negative player.Philo Beddoe wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2019 3:19 pm Could Wolves be in on 3 way trade that involves Culver and cannot say anything because Culver is not technically a Wolve? I could see the Warriors saying we'll expand this deal to MN if they give up Teague+Roco+Culver which MN cannot do.

Golden State didn't give up Iguodala and two first-round picks to take some bullshit from Minnesota in a deal for Russell.

Re: Wolves in on D'Angelo Russell?
They did get Russell to get something of substance for Durant though. I think he will be there for the 2019-20 season but a year from now, he'll probably be available. Problem is, will the Wolves give up the best package for him? Doubt it.irishman89 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2019 3:58 pm Golden State didn't give up Iguodala and two first-round picks to take some bullshit from Minnesota in a deal for Russell.

My prediction is we won't even want him after this year plays out. I hops he reverts back and GS is stuck with that contract.
And no. I don't want to give up a top 7 or better pick.

"I will reveal more at a later date" means "I will tell you more when an ESPN reporter posts the oral history of the Wolves' chase for Russell.

None of the information re this deal, how it went down, the salaries - teams - players involved, the timing, the subsequent moves, etc...make any sense yet. There is to much missing information at this point.

There isn't a good reporter left in the TC.
The days of Ruesse, Sid etc.. are done.
This slob is fraud.

I don’t mind Doogie unlike some on WC(which is fine) but that comment reeks of what you stated.shuttlesworth wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2019 5:42 pm "I will reveal more at a later date" means "I will tell you more when an ESPN reporter posts the oral history of the Wolves' chase for Russell.

Doogie knows more than most, he was dead on about about all the Butler and Thibbs stuff and so many here cried like little bitches.KevinBaconIsNotMyHero wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2019 6:18 pmI don’t mind Doogie unlike some on WC(which is fine) but that comment reeks of what you stated.shuttlesworth wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2019 5:42 pm "I will reveal more at a later date" means "I will tell you more when an ESPN reporter posts the oral history of the Wolves' chase for Russell.
He has news, will share it later. Right now things are no doubt “fluid” and if he dumps his guts maybe Rosas and the Wolves sources get pissed like Thibbs did and goes radio silent to all local press.
Be patient the whole story will eventually come out. The more these guys release info on trades that fall through the more bad blood is created between said almost traded players and the organization.

Re: Wolves in on D'Angelo Russell?
As these deals aren't "official" until the 6th July, can Deangelo back out? Like I don't understand this waiting till the 6th of July. Have things been signed and are official, end deal, full stop? or are they finalised on the 6th.
