This may not be true, its possible DLo chose us and we just weren't able to find anyone to take on Wiggs contract in time.T_J wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 8:55 amHahaha, was thinking the same thing.Rusty Kuntz wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 8:20 am Imagine how KAT is feeling.. Fuck KAT's feelings though. It's his buddy who chose not to join him for the next 5 years.
The Golden State Warriors will acquire D'Angelo Russell in a sign-and-trade with the Brooklyn Nets, but he may not be a long-term part of their franchise.
"D'Angelo Russell does not fit there whatsoever," said Marc Stein of the New York Times on the Dan Patrick Show. "They just did not want to see Kevin Durant walk out the door with no compensation. ... They will trade him. It's just a matter of when."
Russell will receive a four-year, $117 million contract from the Warriors.
The Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Lakers also expressed interest in Russell.
Not too late to make it a 3-team deal?T_J wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 10:01 amThe Golden State Warriors will acquire D'Angelo Russell in a sign-and-trade with the Brooklyn Nets, but he may not be a long-term part of their franchise.

Yeah, this is probably the most likely scenario. I don't think there were any solid rumors of interest in Wiggins. That contract has to be Glen's biggest mistake as owner... don't ya think?morneaumvp wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 9:50 amThis may not be true, its possible DLo chose us and we just weren't able to find anyone to take on Wiggs contract in time.T_J wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 8:55 amHahaha, was thinking the same thing.Rusty Kuntz wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 8:20 am Imagine how KAT is feeling.. I think I saw July 6th or then you wait until December 15th. Let's make it happen now!Beef Supreme wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 10:04 amNot too late to make it a 3-team deal?T_J wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 10:01 amThe Golden State Warriors will acquire D'Angelo Russell in a sign-and-trade with the Brooklyn Nets, but he may not be a long-term part of their franchise.

Nothing is official yet, right?
Golden State will want Roco + filler?kilkenny wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 10:04 amAlright peeps, let's work out some trades.T_J wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 10:01 amThe Golden State Warriors will acquire D'Angelo Russell in a sign-and-trade with the Brooklyn Nets, but he may not be a long-term part of their franchise.

Right up there with signing Joe Smith to a contract under the tableDecker23 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 10:05 amYeah, this is probably the most likely scenario. My this is all part of Rosas’s Plan.kilkenny wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 10:04 amAlright peeps, let's work out some trades.T_J wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 10:01 amThe Golden State Warriors will acquire D'Angelo Russell in a sign-and-trade with the Brooklyn Nets, but he may not be a long-term part of their franchise.

Yup to replace Iggy. Also, did Iggy get shipped for talking about GS's medical staff or did he know he was getting traded so then he started talking last week?
Why would we give RoCo for DLo? We'd need something else imo.
That's what they would want I'm saying. Who knows what will happen, I just don't see Golden State keeping Russell longterm. It was all about getting something for Durant. Don't know why Russell doesn't know that but...kilkenny wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 10:14 amWhy would we give RoCo for DLo? We'd need something else imo.
Idk, just thinking about this for shits.kilkenny wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 10:14 amWhy would we give RoCo for DLo? We'd need something else imo.
Nothing official til later in the week anyways.Mr. Brightside wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 10:18 am Yeah this is getting weird. It hasn’t even been officially announced yet as a done deal and reports are already coming out that GS will trade DLo? Wondering if this saga isn’t done yet...

They aren't taking Wiggins. Roco+assets more likely.T_J wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 10:19 amIdk, just thinking about this for shits.
My thought would be they lost Durant and Iggy and have Klay out for most of the year. They still have Curry & Draymond, but could use some wing play. Wiggins for salary matching/whatever...Cov to fill a need.
Is Wiggins playing like 4th fiddle there really much different than the alternate universe where they never get KD, but resign Barnes to a huge deal?
Curry
Klay
Wiggins
Cov
Dray
I’ve only ever been tentatively on this Dlo bandwagon, and I think if it costs Covington to get it done, I’m off.kilkenny wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 10:14 amWhy would we give RoCo for DLo? We'd need something else imo.
I think I agree. When it was only Teague + filler, it was one thing, but now we're talking serious stuff and I think we need to show caution.Beef Supreme wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 10:22 amI’ve only ever been tentatively on this Dlo bandwagon, and I think if it costs Covington to get it done, I’m off.
Sometimes a too-notch role player is more valuable than a marginal star. Russell would have to take another step forward to make this a worthwhile move.
Eh, then I'd be out on it altogether.HeHateMe wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 10:21 amThey aren't taking Wiggins. Roco+assets more likely.T_J wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 10:19 amIdk, just thinking about this for shits.

That'd be my guess...but that's assuming they signed him only with the intention of trading him. Could just be a 1 year rental while Klay is out . RoCo would be their Iggy replacement.
