It's great to see -- and the hope is that if they continue to keep him off the ball so he can do what he does well... hit open shots.

Finch could and probably should be taking a few minutes here and there from a bunch of guys to try and get the young guys on the floor. I say young guys Shannon is older than Jaden, but you know what I mean.

Take a few from Conley, Donte, Gobert, Naz, NAW, Randle.

Carve out 25-30 minutes a night just for playing young guys. Whoever you want, Finch. Dealers' choice! His 6 to 8 minutes he plays his 9th guy and grab like 20 more. 3 minutes from like 6 or 7 guys a piece.

Dillingham
Minott
Shannon
Garza
Miller
Clark
Nix
Edwards

Even the 2-way guys! Go nuts!

The easiest way to do that seems to be starting Rob with great defenders. Let Rob cook and set up Ant and preferably Naz in the starting lineup. Naz has always played better when playing with a point guard on the court setting him up for easy looks. Mike and Julius come off the bench and take advantage of opposing teams benches. Give Josh some minutes at small ball PF with the bench, and tell him you need to focus on rebounding. hopefully Shannon can get some minutes somewhere in there as well.

Shooting plus 50% from three seems a bit of a high bar to me. I mean, conceivably, a player could shoot 44% for the season and never once break 50% for any game. 4 of 9 every game. Anyway, he needs to do better. He's had another dip - just 6 of 25 in the past five games - but the 7 games directly prior he hit them at a 39% clip. He's a competitive guy. Nobody needs to remind him that it's been unexpectedly bad. I'm sure he's pissed more than anyone when they don't drop. Anyway I continue to have faith it'll come around. He's nailed something like 350 of them the past two seasons. Meanwhile, I appreciate some of the other things he does. Those two dimes to Rudy tonight for dunks were great - and they serve to remind opponents what Rudy can do when he's rolling hard to the rim.
All Time Draft 2025

PG - Kidd, Iverson, D Johnson
SG - Reggie, Hill, Richmond
SF - Kawhi, Hawkins, Ellis
PF - Hakeem, Cowens, Perkins
C - Wilt, Alonzo, Thurmond

i think the point the guy was making is there hasn't even been one game where he's been uber efficient. a 39 percent clip would work real well for this team. anything above 33 percent works. or when they're really needed/in clutch moments. he's definitely doing other things, and he had the third highest plus/minus last night. by six i think.

I'm sure he liked his role more in New York.. starting, closing, playing off Brunson. But that role was going to change this year with Bridges coming in, OG acquired last year... Josh Hart was still going to get big minutes too. Either way, you go from 40% to 31% for a high volume three point shooter... not great!

He's for sure not missing them on purpose because he's disgruntled. He knows how he makes his NBA money - and most of it is based on being an efficient three point shooter. He loses that, he loses his income.

It's his resting bitch face.

The only thing he should be disgruntled about is his 3pt %. Finch is giving him career average in minutes played and he's putting up plenty of shots, they're just not going down.

He's not missing on purpose that's for sure. If there is even the tiniest I don't want to be here attitude though that can effect his shot, as shooting can be a confidence game. Hopefully he wants to ball out this next game against New York, and he has one of his signature games from last season. You would think he would know, hey if my shot doesn't come back they might ship me off to Detroit.

I would love to see Connelly trade Donte for a backup C. The Wolves are in big trouble if Gobert goes down.

I wouldn't put it past Finch to not play that C and just play a 7 man lineup with a few minutes for Rob or Josh.

He's on his 5th tam in 7 seasons, if its true that he doesn't want to be here, then whatever. Maybe that's the attitude that has turned him in to a journeyman.

backup Cs get a bad rap. I'd been on the Hartenstein wagon for awhile - I think he even was an unsigned FA for a bit. Eh, meh, not any good. He's looking pretty good now for one of the best teams in the league.

if Donte can help unlock some more offense for Rudy, that's worth a lot. Our O only benefits if defenses have to account for everyone.

Not going to happen. I'm pretty sure the Knicks cannot reacquire DD since they already traded him this season.

Probably Towns himself, though he doesn’t get a say.
