Financial markets around the world are reeling following President Donald Trump’s latest and most severe volley of tariffs, and the U.S. stock market may be taking the worst of it.

Little was spared as fear flared globally about the potentially higher inflation and weakening economic growth that tariffs can create. Prices fell for everything from crude oil to Big Tech stocks to small companies that invest only in U.S. real estate.

Stocks way down again today. Looks like a nasty recession we are entering.

It looks like things are already trending down for tomorrow.

Sounds like a lot of stuff for kids and babies, like baby supplies and little kid's toys, are going to be seeing shortages soon.

That will be sad if young mothers in America can't find things like cribs or bottles strollers and things like that.

I'm getting nervous about how they've made zero "deals" with any of the countries they pecked a trade fight with. Makes me worried the supply chain disruptions will dwarf anything we saw during COVID

Any updates here? Seems like the tariffs are on again, off again, on again.

I don't understand the bond market but all the experts are saying "you can't bully the bond market"

I read an opinion piece today that the market had already assumed Donald would negotiate all the way down to zero and the US economy and trading be very battered and bruised as a result.

That way, since that is exactly what's happening in real time, the market won't crash too hard as the tariff stuff damages everything.
