Summer 2026 Trade/FA Thread

Post by somuchyummy »

Might as well get one up to keep things clean.

Trae signs a 4 year/$212M extension with Washington that I can't figure out for the life of me.

OKC sends Aaron Wiggins to the Hawks for a 2030 2nd round pick and a 2032 2nd.

Atlanta also signed CJ McCollum to a vet extension.

SG - Reggie, Hill, Richmond
SF - Kawhi, Hawkins, Ellis
PF - Hakeem, Cowens, Perkins
C - Wilt, Alonzo, Thurmond

OKC saves $61M in cash this year with that trade.

He’s a $9M/year player.

The Knicks have resigned F Mo Diawara. Details not really known yet, but it appears to be a multi year vet minimum deal a little over $10M.

So essentially, they traded KAT for a 33rd pick and an injured Donte. Wolves always gonna Wolf.
They better have something in the bag for that cap space.

i'll put this here because it fits. it's a speculative trade proposal that I couldn't believe when I saw the headline earlier today. it's worth looking at though if you haven't seen it.

There's no reason to even consider a deal like this.

The Heat just gave up a lot for Giannis. Him and Bam ain't going to be enough.

I agree. And if either Bam or Giannis go down injured for any length of time, those firsts they sent to Wisconsin better be protected.

Got to let it all play out before judging anything. That $33M trade exception could be huge.

I guess Beringer is included there too, if he pans out well.

I like Ayo, but that's a lot of money for him.

Beringer has a long ways to go, but he better be ready to play some meaningful minutes next season.

Man we basically just gave away Randle for almost nothing. He must have been an issue in the locker room as well as on the floor.

They also got Joan Beringer from the pick they got from the Knicks in that trade, plus were able to resign Naz. But, yeah.

Miami is so gutted with this trade. Including the recently acquired Freak and Portis, they have just ten guys on contract going into next year (as per HoopsHype). That's including their G Leaguers. $141M of their cap is going to Giannis, Bam and Wiggy. They gave up their 13th pick in the trade - and now have just a 41st this year. Bargain bin, anyone? I think it's crazy too that those two future firsts are unprotected. Something goes south for them and they'll be lottery picks that Milwaukee reels in.

I would bet Wiggy is seriously on the block right now - Miami wanting multiple players in return.

Nothing like a good blockbuster trade to fuel interest (for a bit anyways) in what has become a pretty boring league/sport.

That is an interesting way of looking at value/perception of value. I like it. Did Wolves needle move after Randle news? maybe not a big enough fish for that.

They should have asked for Danny Wolf in that deal.

That is a crazy roster the Bucks now have.

Tyler Herro - Ryan Rollins - Kevin Porter Jr. (who has a PO) - Gary Trent Jr. (also a PO) - Kasparas Jakucionis - AJ Green - Gary Harris (who just exercised his PO) - Andre Jackson Jr. (who at least they have a TO on) - plus Cormac Ryan, a kid who came in for 11 games last year at the end of the season and averaged 14.3 ppg on 61%/46%/92% shooting (might want to hang onto that). That's the backcourt.

The frontcourt would be: Myles Turner, Kyle Kuzma, Kelel Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Taurean Prince (with a PO), Jericho Sims (also a PO), Ousmane Dieng (who is an RFA), and Pete Nance (whose contract becomes guaranteed July 4th - so a decision there).

Plus the 10th and 13th pick in tonight's draft. What a freaking mess to sort out.

The Heat have made a couple of sneaky runs to the Finals in the 2020s, so I'll give Riley and Spoelstra the benefit of the doubt.

Phoenix resigns two PGs - Collin Gillespie (4yrs/$48M) - and Jordan Goodwin (3 yrs/$19M).

Austin Reaves gets a big one from LAL - 4yrs/$185M. I don't see it.

They'll probably call MN and offer Reaves/Vando for Rudy and Ayo in February.

Jesus, and people think Ayo was overpaid.
