Yeah I thought the nets need to drop the qualifying offer if they got 2..plus the have DeAndre jorden. Maybe they do a sign and trade for Durant and free space.but guess we will know soon

It'll be the most Wolves thing ever if whoever we had a wink wink trade all lined up and only to have that fall through at the last second.

New Wiggins fanbase: "Man, he goes off for 50 every time he plays the Wolves. Why can't he do that every night?"

Didn't they renounce his rights recently like today? I have no clue how all this stuff works but DLO is a UFA right now I thought.

Possibly, but it's also an attractive landing spot for Russell. He would get his ass chewed out daily by Draymond Green about his defense. LOLOL

What the hell would they do with Russell? I get that Klay’s out next year, but...I find myself asking that question a lot these days. Nothing makes logical sense anymore.

Anything is possible and the rug could get pulled out from under us. I get that.

But why this rumor this late? It’s not like Durant going to the Nets is some out of left field development. It’s been rumored for months. Why suddenly is there talk of Russell going to GS in a sign and trade? Why has there been no smoke from Russell’s camp about GS?

Possible, but I’m suspicious.

From what I have been watching, this is clearly speculation from Woj and he did state it would be very complicated 4 team deal with Boston, Brooklyn, GS, and Charlotte

They can want all day long. So what?

Durant is a UFA. Why would Durant want to weaken the team he is going to by making them sign-and-trade? Why would he care about helping GS?

Maybe it helps the Nets somehow? I'm not really sure why they'd do it otherwise.

Well Russell is gone from Brooklyn regardless. He’s not really weakening them. Unless Brooklyn is giving up other assets. Which would be bizarre.

No reason for the Nets to give up anything in a S&T
No real reason for Russell to consent to help either

Think we hear anything tonight about getting Russell?

Because he can sign better deal with Golden St.

Sane thing happens with LeBron etc.

I thought they changed the sign and trade rules to where you can only sign the 4 year contract.like signing to a different team

I mostly agree with your skepticism on the S&T with GS but I guess my only point would be I doubt KD would care if Russell was the guy involved in the S&T from Brooklyn. Brooklyn will either renounce his rights or trade him. And they certainly wouldn’t move additional assets if they traded Russell. They would be the ones demanding assets probably. I just doubt that all of a sudden Russell wants GS and the Warriors want to give him 25 million a year. We’ll see as you astutely stated.
