What a slap in the face.
Might be the dumbest pitch tactic ever.

Should have taken him on a Lake Minnetonka boat cruise.

I hate using Realgm for anything other than giggles and fake trades, but this is a 40k post moderator saying this.

Curry Klay Covington Draymond is an amazing team still, the next 3 years. Re-sign Looney. Teague good 6th man off the bench and expires to help warriors with re-signing draymond next year. Plus get a pick between 10-18 for bench depth.

Would love this.
Would hate it. Wolves give up too much.

I wouldnt even need the 1st TBH. I'd be estatic getting RoCo on the Warriors.

Wolves were confident could clear the cap for him, told D-Lo that, but Russell never comitted to wait for us and then the Warriors swooped in.

KAT and Dlo rode helicopter together yesterday but in the end Dlo chose warriors over wolves

Picking a 3 time championship team over us. Can’t blame him

In the end, he wanted the money because it was drying up

I'll wait to hear something from DLo regarding his status before assuming he screwed us. He could still be on his way.

But to get him now, we'd have to give up shit to get him...wouldn't that basically be his fault?

Or this was all one long con by Rosas to lose contracts to GS...

RoCo + Teague is better than Dlo RoCo would be a great 3-4th best player. DLo is a 3rd best but WAY more expensive

I hope the DLo ship has sailed. My plan would be to get rid of Wiggins, Teague and Deing over the next 2-3 years. Draft a PG next year. Try to be competitive in year 3. KAT will still have 4 years left on his deal.

The Golden State Warriors will acquire D'Angelo Russell in a sign-and-trade with the Brooklyn Nets, but he may not be a long-term part of their franchise.

"D'Angelo Russell does not fit there whatsoever," said Marc Stein of the New York Times on the Dan Patrick Show. "They just did not want to see Kevin Durant walk out the door with no compensation. ... They will trade him. It's just a matter of when."

Russell will receive a four-year, $117 million contract from the Warriors.

The Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Lakers also expressed interest in Russell.
If true, this does not reflect well on D'Angelo's intelligence. He sacrificed the chance to be in a long-term situation that he liked (playing next to KAT in MN or next to Davis in LA) to join a team for a few months (or maybe a year) that will now have both the power and desire to trade him wherever it wants, without his say. The Lakers will now almost undoubtedly move onto another FA (probably Kawhi), so it will likely be out of the running as a potential destination for Russell if the Warriors decide to trade him. The Wolves might also have less interest in a dude who burned the franchise after it pulled out all the stops to get him, as well as the franchise's star player and fanbase. And in any event the Wolves might also move onto other options at PG (especially next offseason in a PG-loaded draft), so it's unclear whether the Wolves will be an option for Russell whenever the Warriors decide to trade him.

It also reflects pretty poorly on the Warriors. I get that they wanted to maximize the return on Durant, but they just sacrificed part of the soul of their team (Iguodala) for a guy who, from Day 1, everyone believes will be out of there in a few months to a year. It also seemed like the Warriors may have hoodwinked Russell, who probably thought (perhaps not very intelligently) that he was part of a long-term future in GS when he opted to sign there over the Wolves (who surely offered him a long-term home). That can't be very good for the team's internal psycho or its external reputation, especially after the Durant saga.

I hope Russell sucks and they are stuck with that contract. Seems pretty ballsy to think they can just trade him.

He was close to playing himself out of the league just a year ago. If he stinks this year, he will be as hard to dump as Wiggins.

Kat has a 5 year deal starting this season. Not sure how you get that they will have him 4 more year's by year 3 of the rebuild.

I read someone saying his extension starts next year. So shift it a year. Be competitive in 3 years and KAT will have 3 years left on his contract.

1. Teague - gone this year or next
2. Deing - gone in 2 years or sooner
3. Wiggins - he's the hard one to move. Has to be more attractive to every year his contract shortens.

So 2021-22 season is your push to make the playoffs. If Rosas is that good, he should be able to make it happen.

Warriors could very well end up trading DLo either before the trade deadline when Klay comes back or after next year. We'll still need a PG... What could we offer them?

Any ideas?

If he doesn't stay in Toronto maybe they need to fill his spot with Maple Jordan and that helps us get DLo somehow. Just spit balling. Maybe more dreaming.

They would have to get a haul because they invested first round draft picks and moved some important stuff around in order to get something for losing Durant. I think he sticks there. He chose to sign there.

Rosas has 3 offseasons (including this one) to clear the crap contracts and put together a team that contends for the playoffs. That would be the 2021-22 season. Kat would not be a UFA until 2024.
