In a roundabout way, I think this damn thread is working. I'm going to give Cobey some credit here (not that he gives a fuck).

loving this thread. Colbey hit on two very important aspects of my own personal philosophy. Controlled and intentional stress as a means of growth, and utter disdain for the opinions of others. Well done!!!

Disdain may be the wrong word to use here. I prefer apathy over disdain.Tony Bongwater wrote: ↑Tue Sep 26, 2017 1:06 pm loving this thread. Let’s do this thing again, motherfuckers.
As I eluded to in yesterday’s post, today we will be talking about entitlements. And no, I don’t mean “entitlements” in the political sense of the word. I mean it in the most literal, everyday sense. For the sake of this post, we will be defining the term “entitlement” as the belief that one is deserving of certain privileges (which is definition #3 on Merriam Webster.)
Let’s take a look at your neighbor, friend, brother...that guy you know who seems to have it all going on for him. You know the guy. He’s in good shape, has a hot wife, well behaved children, a big house with nice cars in the driveway and seems to do cool and exciting shit every weekend. So what separates this person from the homeless guy who asked for spare change and digs through the cigarette butt disposal on your lunch break today? And what separates this person from you? Is this person entitled to his physique, his hot wife, his well behaved children, his giant house or his nice cars? Are you entitled to not be in a position where you are forced to ask strangers for spare change?
The answer, of course is no. You make your choices and those choices have consequences, both positive and negative. You could very well be one or two horrible choices away from digging through the cigarette butt disposal looking for a half-smoked cigarette that you can gut and roll in a zig-zag for a nicotine fix.
The point is that nobody is going to give you the life you desire because they don’t give a fuck about you. You need to go out and get yours. Hard work, determination and grit will get you further in life than hoping for something to change. You are entitled to nothing in this life. Nothing.
Your body doesn’t care that you want six pack abs and biceps that won’t quit. If you don’t get off your ass, put down the potato chips and work out religiously, it’s never going to give you those results.
The bank doesn’t care that you want a giant house or that European sports car. If you don’t have the income, credit score or money in the bank to purchase it, they will not give it to you.
Women don’t care that you want to fuck them. If you’re a fat fuck who can’t hold a job, who dresses in jizz stained sweatpants and a mustard-stained t-shirt that looks like Swiss cheese, and whose idea of a fun Friday night involves “pwning n00bs” in some fucking video game...well good luck to you.
You aren’t entitled to shit. Nobody’s going to give you the life you want out of the goodness of their hearts. You have to put in the work, get to the grind, quit your bitching and stop being a pussy. Sometimes it’s tough to see the light at the end of the tunnel. We’ve all gone through tough times. Those who thrive are those who learn and grow through tough circumstances. It’s easy to look out your window at your neighbor with the bigger house, hotter wife and nicer car and say that you deserve these things, not them. But what you aren’t seeing when you do this is the times he got up at 4:00 AM to pound out a workout before putting in another 11 hour day at work. You aren’t seeing the struggles he had trying to put food on the table when he was putting in the work at a low paying position. You don’t see how he was making time to be a good parent for his children; playing catch with his kids, helping with homework and supplying much needed discipline; in spite of all of these other commitments.
It’s easy to look at others’ lives and become envious; to feel entitled. But what’s difficult is to look internally. Look at yourself and your own shortcomings. How can you become a better man or woman today? This is the question that you need to ask yourself because nobody is going to do this for you. Nobody is going to give you shit. You need to get out there and take it for yourself.
Let’s do this thing again, motherfuckers.

1) I actually to the time to read this...solid work Cobey.
2) The guy in your picture, Ask Not, is going to have to be careful what he steps on, because he's clearly getting paint on his shoes. What a maroon!
