I think Taj can still go.get paid. Dont think Rosas really has interest in bringing his old school solid as hell PF game back. Just a vibe. He was an awesome Wolf. He will be remembered extremely fondly.
We had some great vets in this period. I will remember him fondly too.
Taj was our best free agent signing in the history of the franchise. He's been fantastic.
Wasn’t AK47 a FA. If so he was the best by far.
Taj has been a true professional, was the reason they got into the playoffs with his heroics against Denver. Hope he catches on with one of the super teams that are about to be created...he would be an asset on the cheap for any of those teams and deserves a shot at the playoffs again.

If Rosas lands Russell and trades Wigs it will make the froobs who thought Culver wasn’t the target look like morons.
There’s absolutely no way all that happens without having a plan in advance.
I love that we got Culver, but trading Wiggins is could be unrelated and/or could have been the plan all along. It is definitely not impossible that Garland was the target, in fact it is likely. And I am elated it didn't work out.

Think - he tried trading the guy after he drafted him, Cleveland would bite. He tried and listened to other teams as well.
Now if he is truly committed to Culver (and he may have painted himself into a corner where he now has to be) the best thing for him to do is move Wiggins.
If you don’t think Rosas was going all out to get Garland you are fooling yourself.

If he went all out, then we would have Garland. I kinda want my POBO to be listening to all offers, don't you?

I must have missed this news. Where can I find it?
RT @DWolfsonKSTP: While D'Angelo Russell is clear-cut Plan A for the #Twolves at PG, Plan B was said to be Ricky Rubio. Wolves were preparing one heck of a recruiting video for him, for one. But they were led to believe early in the process that he was off to somewhere else. Sounds like Indiana.

I think Garland was the target in the draft but I do think Garland/Russell were both targets and they were OK with Culver if they couldn't get Garland. Either way, if they get Russell, I really like the Russell/Culver/Covington/Towns pairing -- you can throw in almost any fifth player and that lineup works because of Culver and Covington's ability to guard multiple positions. And Towns/Russell's versatility on offense.

For good reason fans here only believe a front office is capable of 1d chess, over time I believe Rosas with show us what 3d chess is.

It’s out there and been posted here, go check the draft night thread as well. Woj also tweeted.
We went through the same exact shit when Thibbs took Dunn as trade bait and so many here refused to believe it even though the exact same info leaked.

Uhhhh.........
Rosas fanboys.....Sound The Alarm....Immediate Apologists Needed!!!!! Rubio was Plan B!
This is delicious.
The Wolves Fucked Up When They Traded Ricky And Are 100% Admitting It.
So delicious this tweet.
GO WOLVES!!
All those that hated and promised ALL DAY wide open Towns and Wiggins thanks to Teague’s basketball brilliance can now face a very harsh reality.
jodaman01 told you so on Thibbs and jodaman01 told you so on Teague/Rubio. What else do you need to know, just ask...I love to share knowledge, learn from others....and just basically help all improve, including myself.

I'd rather pass on Russell, since next years draft should be pretty decent for PGs. And wouldn't want to give him a max
This type of thinking has gotten us one playoff appearance in 15 years.
If you do not try to make a bold move KAT is gone... That is a fact. He will pull the same move as Anthony Davis in 2 years.

Exactly.
There is a huge advantage in having a healthy decision tree and enabling flexibility. That practice maximizes your value because you are not myopically focused on one outcome, motivating you to give up more than you should to achieve that single outcome.
Right in the body of the thread - Woj tweet after he was drafted.
Nope, not seeing it. I did see chatter BEFORE he was drafted but all I saw AFTER he was drafted was that we were keeping him. ?
I’ve already helped enough, if you choose to ignore - that’s your choice.
Based on the Thibbs firing, Butler disaster and now the Plan B Rubio news, jodaman01 is beyond any questioning. I’ve spoken -believe what I say or choose not to.....my track record speaks well for me.

Nah, you're just making up shit. I haven't seen a single legitimate tweet or anything that suggests what you're saying is correct. Stop spreading BS unless you can back it up. JonK said we were keeping him right after we drafted him so that may be true.

The guy is Plan B, they also tried to trade him. It’s a win-win pick. They wanted Garland really bad, but they don’t lose by taking Culver because they can work a plan around him. It’s what a Thibbs did with Dunn. I hope Culver’s fate is better here and they back up their mouths and actually develop him.
It’s not complicated and doesn’t make him a bad pick or player, but it certainly doesn’t make Rosas - Bobby Fucking Fisher.
The Rubio news starts to help paint the bigger picture, Not many here will love hearing that and will now get nervous, because his PLAN B was Unfadable’s plan and unmercifully mocked. He has some payback to deal here. Another huge chunk of the Rosas picture will be painted here in FA and over the rest of the offseason.

Jod is correct. This is another example of people being dicks, having poor memories, not paying attention or just lying. Then putting the responsibility on him to provide evidence of something people can look up themselves. It is not his fault you were or are not tuned in.
Russell + Towns as a core 2 for the next 4 years is probably the best we could expect for a non glamorous location like Minnesota. Everyone should embrace it.
Hopefully we can keep Covington and Okogie in getting it done.
From there.. We still have exception to find another big.
We need to face reality that most big named free agents won't come to Minnesota. Get 2 very good players and do your best to fill in around them is the most realistic plan.
What I've read about the Culver pick is we had Garland and Culver on the same tier, and we has 5 guys we liked including the obvious top 3. Hunter going 4 pushed 2 of the guys we wanted down. Cleveland wanted too much to move to 5.
Getting to 6 was fairly cheap. After the pick we took a bunch of calls and we turned them all down. We weren't making the calls.
We've been trying to reach you about your car's extended warranty.

So you don’t think the Wolves made any calls....none to Cleveland.....or returned any call from Teams lower than them in the draft to see if they could fleece them.
C’Mon Man!
I would honestly think less of Rosas if he hadn’t, but have no doubt he did.
